Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply when you shop with This Store Sells Games, LLC ("This Store Sells Games," "TSSG," "we," "us") in our store at 21 New Britain Ave, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 or on thisstoresellsgames.com, sign up for a membership or an event, or join our email or text message programs. By using our website or services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Orders and prices
- Prices are in US dollars and can change at any time. Connecticut sales tax is added where it applies.
- Online payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your full card number.
- Items in your cart are held for you while you complete payment. Unpaid holds are released.
- If an item is sold out, priced in error or can't be filled, we may cancel that part of your order and refund you in full.
- Single cards are sold in the condition listed (for example Near Mint or Lightly Played). Photos and descriptions are a guide, and condition grading involves some judgment.
Pickup
- Online orders are picked up in our store at 21 New Britain Ave, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
- We email you (and text you, if you asked at checkout) when your order is ready. Bring your order number or the name on the order.
Returns
Sealed product may be returned unopened within 14 days with a receipt. Singles are final sale. Refunds go back to the original payment method or as store credit.
Memberships
Membership plans, prices and benefits are shown on our Membership page. Paid memberships are billed through Stripe and renew automatically at the price and interval shown when you join, until canceled. You can cancel at any time by contacting us; canceling stops future charges. Membership benefits are personal and can't be transferred.
Loyalty points and store credit
Points are earned on eligible purchases and can be redeemed as shown at the register and at checkout. Points and store credit have no cash value and can't be transferred or sold. We may change the points program from time to time.
Events
Event details and entry fees are listed on each event page. We may change, reschedule or cancel an event; if we cancel, we refund any entry fee you paid. Players are expected to follow tournament rules and treat everyone with respect, and we may remove anyone who doesn't.
Text message (SMS) terms
This Store Sells Games Alerts sends restock alerts, preorder news and event updates by text message. Separately, order updates send one text when your pickup order is ready, only if you ask for it at checkout.
- How to join: tick the text message box on our website (the sign-up form, an event sign-up, a membership sign-up or checkout) or ask us in the store. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
- Message frequency varies. Order updates are about one text per order.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- To stop texts, reply STOP to any message. You'll get one text confirming you're unsubscribed, then no more texts unless you sign up again by replying START.
- For help, reply HELP or email info@thisstoresellsgames.com.
- Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.
- We only text the number you gave us. See our Privacy Policy: we do not sell or share your mobile information, SMS opt-in data or consent with third parties for marketing purposes.
Emails
We send receipts and order updates by email. Marketing emails go only to people who asked for them, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
Using our website
Please don't misuse the site, try to interfere with it, or use it for anything unlawful. Website content belongs to us or our licensors. Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, One Piece, Dragon Ball Super and other game names and images are trademarks of their owners. This Store Sells Games is an independent retailer and is not affiliated with or endorsed by those companies.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
We work to keep listings accurate, but we don't promise the website is error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
